Mrs. Paula Shrum, Assistant Principal

This will be my 4th year as Assistant Principal at Harrisburg Elementary. I love being a part of this thriving community of learners. My goal this year is to continue to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents. This is my 15th year with Cabarrus County Schools. I earned a B.A degree in Elementary Education K-6 with a math education concentration from the University of Charlotte in 1993. I earned a M.Ed in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University in 2009, and completed my Principal Licensure from Appalachian State University in 2016. 

I believe that the “Burg” is the best community around, and has an amazing reputation for student achievement and parent/community involvement.  I am inspired by students and teachers every day, and I’m proud to be a part of this group of dynamic, innovative, and global thinkers.  Thank you for allowing me to learn and grow with you all.  This year, let’s challenge ourselves to set new goals each day, and keep our expectations high.  I believe that all of us can be successful if we invest in each other!
